S&W Productions Wins 3 Videographer Awards
PADUCAH, KY - The Videographer Awards have announced winners for the 2010 international awards competition that recognizes outstanding achievement in video productions. There were about 1,800 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries.

Award of Distinction for Public Service Announcement “Game 2010”
The 60 second TV commercial was produced for MCAMP (Muhlenberg County Alliance for Methamphetamine Prevention). The commercial focuses on the prescription drug abuse problem and featured students from Muhlenberg County High School. Vicki Yonts with MCAMP was the writer/producer/coordinator for the project. “We are excited to win this prestigious award and help bring awareness to the growing abuse of prescription drugs. I am so proud of the students who were involved in the commercial.” Terry Schmitt, owner of S&W Productions said, “It’s always a pleasure to work with everyone involved with MCAMP. They are passionate about awareness issues and it shows in this award winning commercial.”

Award of Distinction for “Talon Falls Screamfest 2009”
The 30 second television commercial promotes the Talon Falls Screamfest attraction created by Todd and Shell Ferren of Todd Ferren Photography of Paducah. Terry Schmitt said, ”We had a ton of fun working with the entire Screamteam producing this commercial.”

Honorable Mention for “S&W Productions Christmas E-Card”
Linda Schmitt said, “ This was a fun, exciting and unique way to wish all of friends and clients a Merry Christmas.” The video was edited and taped by Terry Schmitt with the Christmas elements designed by Marissa Joyner.
 
The Videographer Awards is one of the most coveted awards in the video industry. Over the past 14 years, thousands of production and communication professionals have entered their best and most creative work. The goal of the Videographer Awards is to identify and recognize the video artisans who excel in the scope of their own environment. Winners range from network news operations to local cable access...from large production companies to freelancers...from international advertising agencies to student producers.

Winners were selected from 166 categories under the headings of television productions, video productions and new media. The Award of Excellence was awarded to those projects that the judges deemed were written, produced, shot and/or edited in an exceptional manner. Approximately 14 percent of the entries won this award. The Award of Distinction was awarded for projects that exceeded industry standards. Approximately 14 percent of the entries won this award. Excellence and Distinction winners are listed on the Videographer Awards website at www.videoawards.com. The Videographer Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (www.amcpros.com). The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals who have entered AMCP programs. The Advisory Board oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards of excellence.
